CFB WEEK EIGHT

Theres nothing better in the world to bet on than college football. They are just kids. It’s amazing. Feel really excited about my picks this weekend. Great slate. Before getting into it I’ll tell you right now I’m taking the points with three road teams. Something I don’t normally do but let’s give it a shot. Let’s go.

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Oklahoma -17.5 vs UCF

Dylan Gabriel revenge game. You think he’s not going to light up the school he just transferred from? Light the Candles, Oklahoma off a bye, at home, are going to hang 55 on UCF. I couldn’t be more confident in this pick. UCF is so bad. Oklahoma is ready to keep rolling. Should be easy. Gabriel has a real Heisman chance (after these Pac 12 QBs are going to keep banging each other out) and what better opportunity than to light up your old school. This is a game you turn off midway through the second quarter because its 28-3 Sooners.

Most Excited Pick of the week: Penn State +4.5 @ Ohio State

Ive been on this pick all year long. No matter what the line was I was taking PSU this week. Ill tell you right now Im taking them against Michigan too, no matter the outcome of this one. After the first week of the season, PSU covered for me with eight seconds left on the most unnecessary touchdown. Ever since, Ive been indebted to James Franklin. All he does is cover spreads. Every single week they cover for me. I love this Penn State defence. I think it’s really time Penn state gets it done. Franklin has a lot he seriously needs to prove. As of right now I think this is the best chance Penn State has ever had at the Big 10 title. Honestly, I don’t think Ohio state is great. I absolutely hate that OSU win over ND. If that last drive didn’t happen this line would be a pick ‘em as it should be. Ohio State didn’t deserve that win. Penn State has ran through its opponents this year. Drew Allar is playing great ball right now. The offence is versatile and can really do anything it wants. Haven’t been this pumped for a noon kick all year. Even if OSU wins I see it being a last second field goal I’ll take the 4.5. The one thing that scares me is Kyle McCord being from Pennsylvania. Chance he could be extremely amped up and come out blazing. He Should’ve went to Penn State cause Ryan Day is a weirdo.

Duke +14.5 @ FSU

Listen FSU is a monster but 14.5 is a lot of points. Keon Coleman and Jared Verse are two of the best players in the country who should both be top 15 draft picks. But Im rolling with the Blue Devils here. I could see this one being close going into the fourth quarter. I beleive FSU is due for a little let up. Duke is coming off a nice win against a tough NC state squad. Dukes defence has had a couple incredible showings this year. If Notre Dame doesn’t have that miraculous last second drive against Duke, this Duke team is 6-0 and were looking at a way lower spread here. Maybe 7 or 8 points? I love the +14.5.

Utah +7 @ USC

I’ve been on the Utes all year so now doesn’t seem like the time to stop. It seems like they’ve just had USCs number the past couple years. Their defence is scary, even on the road they smother you. Obviously the USC defence is atrocious so I believe Utah can keep it close. I honestly see USC coming out of this game with a win but I don’t think they have it in them to cover seven. It’ll should be chippy, not a typical Pac 12 shootout as of late. It scares me they just got there kicked teeth in by the Irish, but the Utah defence is better than Notre Dames, and that’s why Im taking the Utes and the points here. I don’t love betting against Caleb Williams, but Utah needs a statement win and beating USC can really help them get back on peoples radar.

Bonus NFL Pick: Philly Eagles -2.5 vs Miami Dolphins

We’ve yet to see the dolphins win a big time game, especially in prime time and especially on the road. Im still fully bought in on the eagles and I actually love that they lost last week to the jets. Theres no way this eagles team loses back to back games. The dolphins have a lot of hype but I think this one is easy as; reining NFC champs, at home, coming out upset coming off a loss, playing a team whose only really beat up on bad teams. Ive yet to see the dolphins show up in a big way, so if Sunday Night is the night, I’ll wear it on the chin. Go birds. I hope they unleash on these dolphins. Eagles -2.5 should be easy. Be Angry.
